Claire Hoffman Wins Again

Claire Hoffman, who plays for Apache Junction High School, has one of the coolest stories out there. Last week she won her third event of the year…as a sophomore. What is even more amazing is the comparison of her scores from last year, her freshman year, to this year. In nine hole competitions Claire averaged in the mid 70’s. During this year’s competitions she has lowered her scores drastically to just above 40. That equates to 30+ strokes per 9 holes on average. That’s 3+ strokes lowered per hole!! What an impressive story and a testament to her incredibly hard work over summer. Congratulations Claire Hoffman. Great work.
